font size

Mozambican President Armando Guebuza on Tuesday called on diplomats to promote the country's image abroad.

The work done by the Mozambican people could be reflected beyond the country's borders because Mozambique now possesses a corps of highly skilled diplomats, said Guebuza when speaking in Maputo shortly before meeting with the heads of Mozambican diplomatic missions.

After the meeting, Mozambican Foreign Minister Alcinda Abreu told press that Guebuza had spoken of the major priorities of the new government for the coming five years, and stressed the role ofdiplomats in portraying Mozambique to the outside world.

Mozambique currently possesses 38 diplomatic missions abroad with 29 embassies and nine consulates.
