Over 500, 000 laborers sent overseas in 2004

China made pleasing achievements in outsourcing and labor service cooperation in 2004, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

The turnover of foreign contracted projects reached US$17.47 billion in 2004, up 26 percent from the previous year, that out of labor service cooperation hit US$3.75 billion, up 13 percent. Till year-end, the laborers overseas totaled 535, 000.

Up to the year-end of 2004, the accumulated earnings of China's foreign labor cooperation stood at US$30.82 billion and 319, 300 laborers have been sent overseas.
