font size

U.S. President George W. Bush plans to attend celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in Moscow in May 2005.

In an exclusive interview with Itar-Tass and Channel One ahead of the U.S.-Russian summit to be held in Bratislava on February 24, Bush said he would definitely go to Moscow for the celebrations.

The president said he wanted to thank war veterans for their self-sacrifice, adding that the modern world also demanded self-sacrifice in different spheres.

The full interview will appear in Channel One's Vremya new programme on Sunday, February 20.
