The People's Daily carries an editorial Wednesday on the Communist Party of China's focus on the "scientific concept of development" in an upcoming educational campaign across the country.

The editorial says the campaign will be carried out soon to help the people learn about the "scientific concept of development" and the country's current socioeconomic situation.

The campaign will advocate the significance of the "scientific concept of development" in improving economic macro-control, addressing agricultural issues, promoting economic reform, opening-up and the construction of a sound democratic and legal framework.

It will also highlight the work done by the Party and government in "caring about the public" and "rapid socioeconomic development."

The editorial calls on Party officials, leading cadres in particular, to put the policy publicity education at top of their agenda "to resolve real problems."
