China's tourism earning of foreign exchanges up 50% last year

According to the news of 22 February by the People's Daily from Beijing the statistics of the National Tourism Administration of China (CNTA) indicate that the inbound tourism saw a full recovery and revitalization and realized a new breakthrough development in 2004.

The annual arrivals told 109 million by turnstile count, an increase of 18.96 percent over that of 2003 and 11.37 percent as against that of 2002 with the tourism earning to have reached USD 25.739 billion, a respectively increase of 47.87 and 26.26 percent over the same period of 2003 and 2002.
