font size

Chinese Vice-Premier Huang Ju on Saturday called on further cooperation between Chinese and US telecommunications industries while meeting with US telecom magnates.

In a meeting with Timothy Donahue, board chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Nextel Communications, and Sprint Communications CEO Gary Forsee, Huang expressed his appreciation for the two companies' long-term efforts of promoting China-US economic and trade ties.

He said he hoped the two companies will continue to boost the cooperation between Chinese and US telecommunications industries and bilateral economic and trade relations after they complete their merger.

Huang also briefed the guests on the development of China's telecommunications industry.
