Vanuatuan Prime Minister Ham Lini arrived in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province on Saturday, continuing his China tour aimed at strengthening Sino-Vanuatuan relations and exploring cooperation opportunities.
Governor Li Chengyu briefed Lini on the development of the most populous Chinese province, well known for its farming and animal husbandry industries. He said Henan was ready to expand collaboration with Vanuatu on farming, stockbreeding, aquaculture and food processing.
Lini, fully aware of Henan's role in the past and present development of the Chinese economy, said he hoped to learn more about China during his stay here.
He said the Vanuatu government will firmly adhere to the one-China policy and will strengthen exchanges with China.
Lini arrived in Beijing Thursday at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. During his stay in Beijing, he met with Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen and other senior officials. Lini and Wen also signed a joint statement and economic and technological agreements.
After Zhengzhou, Lini will head for Haikou and Sanya, two scenic cities in south China's island province of Hainan.
Lini was elected Prime Minister of Vanuatu in December 2004. Heis expected to wrap up his China tour on March 4.
