Top political advisors discuss draft reports for annual session
font size

The Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political consulting body, Sunday discussed two draft reports that will be handed over to the upcoming annual session of the CPPCC National Committee in March.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPPCC) Central Committee Political Bureau, attended the meeting.

The two documents are the draft of the work report by the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee and the draft of a report on the issue of proposals.

At the discussion, the participants recalled the achievements the CPPCC National Committee made in 2004, during which a series of important events took place including a campaign to study the revised CPPCC Charter and an important speech on the role of the CPPCC under the new situation delivered by President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Hu Jintao.
