font size

Malaysian Supreme Head of State Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin arrived in Beijing Monday noon for a state visit to China from Feb. 28 to Mar. 6, at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

During Sirajuddin's stay in Beijing, Hu and Premier Wen Jiabao will meet with him respectively. Sirajuddin will also visit Xi'an, a capital of Chinese dynasties for more than 1,000 years, and Shanghai, the country's economic hub.

He is also scheduled to tour the Great Wall and the Palace Museum in Beijing, and the terra cotta warriors, known as one of the world's eight wonders, in Xi'an.

Sirajuddin was elected as the 12th Supreme Head of State in December 2001 and ascended the throne in April 2002.
