Chinese top legislature publicizes annual legislation plan with 31 drafts

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), or Chinese top legislature, has publicized its annual legislation plan with 31 drafts for deliberation in 2005.

The legislation plan consists of 31 items in two parts, including the enacting of 20 new laws and the revision of 11 laws.

The top legislature will deliberate the draft laws on emergency state, anti-monopoly, civil servants, notary, governing offenses against public order, enterprise bankruptcy, etc.

It will also discuss the draft amendments to laws on corporation, securities, individual income tax, audit, compulsory education, protection on women's rights and interest, according to the plan.
