Top legislature to conduct law enforcement inspections
font size

China's top legislature will dispatch five teams in 2005 to inspect the enforcement of work safety, agriculture, labor, lawyer and water pollution laws.

The plan was released in the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress (NPC), which ended Monday.

According to the 2005 law enforcement inspection plan, the enforcement teams will hold forums, do field research, visit ordinary people and conduct surveys. The inspectors will write reports of any lax enforcement and demand concerned departments improve their work in six months.

Five vice chairs of the 10th NPC Standing Committee will be appointed as the directors of the five law enforcement groups.
