A Sino-Thai trade and economic forum has started in Shantou, in the southern province of Guangdong. More than 250 entrepreneurs are there to discuss bilateral cooperation.

Xu Deli, vice governor of Guangdong, told the forum bilateral economic and trade relations have made great headway. He went on to say that Guangdong has played a leading role in this regard. He said the close bilateral economic and trade links, Thai investments and the support from overseas Chinese in Thailand have all contributed to Guangdong's growth.
