font size

China is ready to work with Belarus to promote relations between China and Belarus "in a stable and healthy manner," said Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing Wednesday.

China appreciates Belarus'adherence to one-China policy and its support for China's stance on Taiwan issue, said Li in talks with the visiting Belarussian Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov.

The Chinese foreign minister also stressed the fast-growing relations between China and Belarus since the two countries forged diplomatic relations 13 years ago.

Martynov said bilateral relations have maintained good momentum, which are in the interests of the peoples of the two countries. Belarus will continue to follow one-China policy and support China's efforts in addressing Taiwan question, Martynov said.

Martynov said Belarus will keep increasing mutual understanding with China and expand mutually beneficiary cooperation with China in economy, trade and technology.
