Members and deputies from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions (SAR) have arrived in batches in this national capital Wednesday to attend the imminent sessions of China's top advisory body and legislature.

Most of the members of the Tenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and deputies to the Tenth National People's Congress (NPC) from the two SARs have arrived by press time.

Among the 2,000-plus members of the Tenth CPPCC National Committee, 188 are from Hong Kong and 35 from Macao, including 10 newly-inducted Hong Kong members and two new comers from the neighboring Macao. The CPPCC session is due on Thursday.

Thirty-six deputies from Hong Kong and 12 from Macao will attend the NPC session slated to convene on March 5.

David Chu Yu-lin, a NPC deputy from Hong Kong, told Xinhua that anti-secession law is his top concern at the incoming legislative meeting and he is optimistic about "the law being passed smoothly".

"The law will completely do away with the fantasy for 'Taiwan Independence' and demonstrate Chinese people's common faith in maintaining China's sovereignty and territorial integrity," said the Hong Kong NPC deputy.

CPPCC member Lung Chee Ming George, also from Hong Kong, cited harmony as the most vital topic in the present Chinese society and more communications between various social sectors and groups are urgently needed.

He planned to propose more exchange activities being conducted between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong SAR as an effort to construct "a harmonious Chinese society".
