Malaysian supreme head of state wraps up China visit

Malaysian Supreme Head of State Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin concluded his seven-day state visit in China and left Shanghai on Sunday morning.

Sirajuddin, invited by Chinese President Hu Jintao, arrived in Beijing on Feb. 28. During his stay in Beijing, he met with Hu andChinese Premier Wen Jiabao, and visited some famous places including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.

The well-known historic city Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Provincein northwest China, is the second leg of Sirajuddin's China tour. There, he visited the terra cotta warriors, known as the eighth world miracle.

In Shanghai, an economic center of China, Sirajuddin learned about its present development, and said he is glad to see the great achievements made by Shanghai in recent years.

During his China tour, Sirajuddin expressed his hope to furtherpromote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
