China and France co-train WTO talents
font size

As learned from French Grenoble Management School, the cooperation between China and France to co-train WTO talents has won initial success, and the French side vows to further deepen the cooperation with China.

To meet the requirement of WTO, Shanghai municipal government decided to train 100 high-quality personnel specializing in WTO knowledge for 50 units in Shanghai such as some related institutions and large scale state-owned enterprises. Students will have nine months studies in China and three months studies abroad. The first two phases of training abroad were conducted in the US, and from the third phase on, the training will be in France. This is the first time that China adopts China-foreign cooperation to train WTO talents.

During their study in France, students will visit the WTO Headquarter, the European Parliament as well as Economic Cooperation Organization, and communicate with officials from French economic and trade departments and top leaders from large-scale French enterprises. Students hold that they have benefited a lot from the training pattern that combines domestic idea and foreign concept. For instance, on the issue of solving trade disputes, students can only read cases printed in the textbook in China, however, they can learn the concrete measure to solve the matter abroad. Additionally, students can personally experience the Europeans' mode of thinking and working style during their study in France, which conducive to their future work.

Grenoble Management School, ranked the sixth in France, is famous for its programme of business administration. The School has started cooperation with Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University as well as Shanghai University since 1999.
