According to the latest statistics released by the Customs General Administration, the total volume of import and export in 33 export processing zones that have been closed for operation totaled 35.44 billion yuan in China last year, a year-on-year increase of 96.4 percent, the development of export processing zones maintaining a good momentum.

So far, the national export processing zone has invited 823 enterprises with total investment reaching 10.1 billion yuan.
