The 15th ministerial meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and European Union (EU) opened in Jakarta Thursday, focusing on ASEAN-EU cooperation, anti-terrorism and transnational crime.
The meeting is also scheduled to touched on issues of post-tsunami reconstruction in Indonesia and other issues of the regional interests.
Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirajuda and his Malaysian counterpart Syed Hamid Albar had bilateral talks on the sideline last night, during which the two sides agreed to dissolve their dispute over water territory in the Sulawesi Sea.
