China concerned about Philippines, Vietnam's South China Sea research

China's foreign ministry spokesman said Thursday at a press conference that China is concerned the Philippines and Vietnam's pending research in South China Sea.

When asked to comment on the research scheduled for April 6 to 9, Kong Quan said he hoped the countries will carry out the research "in accordance with the principles of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea."
