Forty-seven people were killed and more than 80 others wounded in a suicide bomb attack in the restive Iraqi city of Mosul on Thursday, hospital sources said.
The explosion went off inside a Shiite mosque in the Tameen District in northern Mosul as a funeral was underway.
Body parts and glass pieces were scattered everywhere as people were busy transferring the wounded to the hospital.
Mosul has been a hotbed of insurgents' attacks against those accused of collaborating with US forces since US and Iraqi forces launched a massive assault on the restive city of Fallujah late last year.
