The Chinese government on Friday donated 400 police-use motorcycles to Cambodia's Ministry of Interior to help the country support the police.
The hand-over ceremony was held with the attendance of the ministry's Secretaries of State Em Sam An and Khann Savoeun and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Hu Qianwen.
Em Sam An thanked the Chinese government for its help and support, saying he believes the donation will play a positive role in maintaining the country's social security.
At the same time, he reaffirmed Cambodia's stance to stick to "one-China" policy and oppose the splittist activities of Taiwan independence.
Hu Qianwen said the donation "again reflected the friendship and cooperation between our two countries." He praised the cooperation between the police of China and Cambodia on combating the transnational criminals in past years, which he said has achieved positive results.
Hu also expressed hope that the donation will help Cambodia's police to improve its duty to maintain the public order which he said is very important for the country to attract more investment.
