The Kenyan seven-a-side rugby team leaves Nairobi on Sunday for Hong Kong for the Rugby World Cup Sevens kicking off on March 18, local newspaper Sunday Nation reported.
On Saturday, the players held a team morale building session at a golf club in Nairobi. The relaxed players were taken through the session which emphasized the finer details of team cohesion while competing against one another. One of the exercises was climbing a wall in 120 seconds.
The Kenya Rugby Football Union Development Manager Fred Ollows felt Kenya have a solid team, saying on Saturday that "these lads have potential."
However, Ollows predicted competition in Hong Kong would be intense. He said the Poll D will see the battle for African supremacy. All the three teams from Africa -- Kenya, Tunisia and South Africa -- had been pooled in this group.
The Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong will be held March 18-20. A total of 24 teams divided into four pools will compete for the World Cup trophy.
