The torch delivery route in China for Beijing Olympics 2008 should cover all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, including Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan Province, said BOCOG President Liu Qi.

When dealing with the question about the Olympic torch delivery, Liu Qi said, the World Olympic Committee is favoring for transnational delivery, but we have to do a very good job for its delivery in China while meticulous attention is also paid to the design of the route for transnational delivery in order to show the humane-cultural concept of China. With regard to the arrangement of the route for torch delivery in China, Liu Qi said, this should be made as extensive as possible, i.e. all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions should be included and all nationalities in China should have a connection with it and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan as well should be included in it too.

It is hoped that there will be more people to see the matches on the spot. Therefore, the ticket price should be made cater to the national conditions in China. However, there will be some matches with a little higher price while the ticket prices for most of the matches should be made relatively cheap. What I can reveal here is that so far we've seen a favorable market development for the Olympic Games and so the low cost ticket is quite likely to be achieved. The market development so far has greatly surpassed the expected budget of USD 1.625 billion, Liu expressed.

The working personnel in the Organizing Committee for Beijing Olympics 2008 come only to 300 odd for the moment and the detachment will be expanded to around 4000, said Liu Qi, and he is of opinion that the quality of the working personnel for the Organizing Committee plays a key role for running well the Olympic Games this time.

When dealing with something to be worried, Liu Qi is of the opinion that it is quite a difficult job to embody the civilized quality of a city. For instance, to queue up in line, no spitting and no littering everywhere, being more polite and paying attention to rite and etiquette and especially we have to be very friendly, hospitable to guests from all over the world. These are the stressed point of our work at present. The enhancement of civilized quality and city management are all problems of great importance which require us to solve in the days to come, Liu said.
