China announces ten new professions

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of China announced the third batch of new professions recently.

According to CCTV, the ten new professions are: credit management specialist, Internet editor, real property planner, professional information analyst, toy designer, analyst for gold investment, enterprise culture specialist, home textile designer, micro hydropower technician and intelligent building automation technician.

Another ten new professions, including sports agent, health instructor, agricultural technology instructor, arts designer for games, and game program designer, etc. are being reviewed by expert panel with the ministry, and will hopefully be announced later as the fourth batch of new professions.

The ministry has announced 20 new professions in two batches respectively since the system is established. Reviewed by experts, the new professions represent professions that are in great demand and will become hot in short term.

The standards and tests for the new professions will be launched soon after the announcement.
