According to the report by the Central News Agency, the Taiwan "National Policy Research Institution" entrusted the Berkeley Market Research Advisory Co. Ltd. to call on by telephone the Taiwan people within the age groups of 20 - 69 to air their views on the "Anti-secession Law" worked out by China's mainland, resulting in a total of 1067 effective sample surveys

The investigation indicates, "There are differences of opinions in Taiwan Island". With regard to the "Anti-secession Law" mapped out by the Chinese mainland the result shows, 30.5 percent of the people in Taiwan are for speeding up the exchanges across the Taiwan Straits; 39.6 percent of them advocate for remaining unchanged while 20.6 percent are for that to be slow down and the rest 9.4 percent remain shut up without saying anything.
