A robot, newly developed by Japan's Hitachi Ltd., is to shake hands with a Hitachi employee in Tokyo, capital of Japan, on March 15, 2005. The 130-centimeter-tall robots weigh 70 kilograms with a maximum walking speed of six kilometers an hour. They can dodge moving objects, identify sound sources, without microphones, within one meter and talk with human beings.
