BOCOG publishes primary school Olympic reader
font size

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG) will provide some 610,000 copies of Olympic readers for the capital city's primary school students in an effort to promote the Olympic Movement.

The reader compiled by the BOCOG introduces comprehensively the Olympic history, Olympic Spirit and the organization of the Beijing 2008 Olympics. It has two volumes, designed for students in different grades.

"We hope the book will help students further enrich their Olympic knowledge and better prepared for the 2008 Games," BOCOG executive vice president Jiang Xiaoyu said at the launching ceremony Wednesday held at the Beijing Primary School.

The Primary School Olympic Reader is the second official educational publication of BOCOG. The Secondary School Olympic Readers were first published in January last year.
