All six miners have been rescued from a coal mine accident mudflow in central China's Hunan Province, local workplace safety bureau confirmed Wednesday morning.

The miners were rescued at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, 58 hours after they were trapped underground by a mudflow that occurred Sunday afternoon in Yaozishan coal mine in Ningxiang county. They were sent immediately to a nearby hospital for treatment.

"They are still weak, yet in stable conditions," said Yang Guoping, director of the county's emergency medical center, saying they had eaten nothing for such a long time.

The mudflow at about 5:00 p.m. trapped six workers in an 80-meter-long tunnel, 130 meters underground.

Two professional rescue teams arrived at the scene half an hour later, but the rescue work was impeded by rocks and continuing mudflow, said Yan Yinchu, vice director of local workplace safety bureau.
