Vietnam opposes "Taiwan independence activities:" spokesman

The Vietnamese government, in conformity with its consistent one-China policy, considers Taiwan as an inalienable part of the People's Republic of China, Vietnam's Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung reaffirmed Wednesday.

The spokesman made the statement in answering questions raised by reporters on China's recent adoption of the Anti-Secession Law intended to prevent the secession of Taiwan from China.

Vietnam opposes the activities of "Taiwan independence" in whatever forms and fully supports the Chinese government's and people's efforts for national reunification and maintenance of stability across the Taiwan Straits, he added.
