Thailand believes China's willingness for peaceful reunification
font size

Thailand believes the Chinese government will try the best to realize peaceful reunification of the country, a high-ranking official of the Thai Foreign Ministry has said.

The Thai government is glad to know that China's newly-enacted Anti-Secession Law is designed to promote peaceful reunification across the Taiwan Straits, said Pisan Manawapat, Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Thai Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Thailand will continue to maintain the one-China Policy and reiterates that the issue of Taiwan is China's internal affair, said Pisan.

He made the statement when meeting on Tuesday with Zhang Jiu Huan, the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand.
