Dunhuang Railway expected to be opened at year-end
font size

The construction of Dunhuang Railway with a total investment of over 600 million yuan kicked off recently. Sources say the project is jointly undertaken by the Ministry of Railway and Gansu Province and is hopeful to be completed at the end of this October and opened to transportation at year-end.

The foundation was laid in September 2004 for the Dunhuang Railway, which extends over 160 kilometers from Anxi and Liugou along the Lanzhou-Urumqi Railway to Dunhuang city with nearly 60 kilometers in the city proper.
