Macao to issue stamps depicting new bridge
font size

The Macao Post Office will issue stamps on the image of Sai Van Bridge starting on Wednesday, the office announced here Tuesday.

As the largest public construction project since Macao's return to the motherland, the 2,200-meter-long bridge with double-deck carriageways took more than two years to build. Its inauguration ceremony was attended by Chinese President Hu Jintao during his visit to Macao on Dec. 25 last year.

The office will issue 275,000 stamps depicting the first cable-stayed bridge in Macao, and 5,500 first-day covers.
