Northeast Asia & Bohai-Rim International Business Festival promoted in HK

The first Northeast Asia & Bohai-Rim International Business Festival will be held on May 18 in Langfang City of Hebei Province, central part of the Bohai Sea rim area, organizers of the festival announced Tuesday in Hong Kong.

Wang Huiyong, deputy director of the organizing committee of the business festival, said the festival is initiated for further promoting regional cooperation in Northeast Asia and Bohai-rim areas.

Wang, also vice mayor of Langfang, said "Harmonious Cooperation and Mutual Development" is the subject of the festival.

He said a number of world top 500 ventures and top 100 Chinese ventures have been invited to the business festival.

During the festival, an international forum on economic cooperation, a seminar on the internationalization of Chinese private sector, forums on information technology industry and automobile industry, trade fairs and some other investment promotion activities will be held.

China's Bohai Sea rim region is another region which witnesses rapid development, following the fast growth of the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta regions. At the same time, the Bohai Sea rim region has also strengthened cooperation with its neighboring Japan and South Korea.

The business forum is co-sponsored by All-China Federation of Commerce and Industry, Bo'ao Forum for Asia, China Enterprise Association and related provinces and municipalities in the Bohai Sea rim region.
