font size

Pak Bong Ju, Democratic People's Republic of Korea Premier, said Thursday that Shanghai has great potential for economic achievement and a promising future of economic cooperation with his country.

In meeting with Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng, Pak said remarkable changes have taken place in Shanghai. He was glad to see the changes on his first visit there.

"The modernization of Shanghai proves the success of China's reform and opening-up policy," he said.

Pak is on a six-day official and goodwill visit to China. He met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao in Beijing. He will also visit northeast China's Liaoning Province during his visit.
