Premier Pak Bong Ju of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), left Shanghai Friday afternoon after his two-day tour of China's economic hub to head for the industrial city of Shenyang in northeast China's Liaoning Province.

Before his departure in Shanghai, Pak visited the Pudong New District, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and a maglev route connecting the downtown Shanghai and Pudong New International Airport.

While in Shanghai metropolis, Pak also visited the historic site of the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the city's layout exhibition center.

Pak spoke highly of Shanghai's speeding economic progress, and pledged to enhance DPRK's economic and trade ties with the municipality and its Pudong new district.

Premier Pak arrived here Thursday after his meetings with Chinese leaders in the national capital. In his two-day stay in Beijing, he visited a Nokia joint venture and the Yanjing beer factory.

The DPRK premier hailed China's political stability and economic growth, and said during his meetings with President Hu Jintao in Beijing Wednesday that his country hoped to draw on Chinese experience.
