Senior CPC official meets Solomon Islands guest

Wang Jiarui, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official, met Thursday with a Solomon Islands opposition party congressmen delegation headed by Leader of the opposition party Francis Hilly.

Wang, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, briefed Hilly on China's domestic situation and its principles and stance on the Taiwan question, saying that the CPC is willing to conduct exchanges in depth with major parties of Solomon Islands in various forms, and push for the normalization of relations between the two countries through continuous development of bilateral party relations.

Hilly said he wished that this visit will further mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

Hilly vowed that the Solomon Islands will make efforts to push for the normalization of bilateral relations. He said the Chinese people's remarkable achievements and successful experience in their construction of the country have attracted world-wide attention, and the Solomon Islands pays much attention to and wishes to learn from China's experience.
