The Bangladeshi Embassy in Beijing held a reception here Monday to celebrate its National Day.

Bangladeshi Ambassador Ashfaqur Rahman and Vice-Chinese Foreign Minister Wu Dawei attended the reception.

The People's Republic of Bangladesh declared its independence on March 26, 1971 and designated March 26 as its National Day and Independence Day.
