Former Argentine soccer player Diego Maradona could participate in the summit of Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia and Spain, to be held on Tuesday 29 at the southeastern Venezuelan city of Puerto Ordaz.

The deputy chairman of Union Atletico Maracaibo soccer club, Julio Magallanes, confirmed Monday that Maradona will be with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez at Puerto Ordaz, in Venezuela's Bolivar state.

Magallanes indicated that the former soccer star will be in the event for two days, but that on Thursday will travel to Maracaibo for the opening of the South American sub-17 tournament, on April 1.
