Chinese leaders meet with national science & technology awardees
Chinese President Hu Jintao (C) and other top Chinese Party and State leaders meet with awardees of the state science and technology awards for 2004 in Beijing March 28, 2005. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, or the Chinese central government, issued state awards on Monday to a number of eminent Chinese scientists and research institutions for their tremendous contributions to the development of science and technology in the country.
