China's top legislator stresses relations with Andean ParliamentThe Chinese National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislative body, will strengthen its exchanges and cooperation with the Andean Parliament and the parliaments of Latin American countries, said NPC Standing Committee Chairman, Wu Bangguo, on Monday.
Wu said the relationship between China and the five Andean countries has developed smoothly with a frequent exchange of high-level visits, deepening political mutual trust, sound cooperation and constant communications on international and regional issues. Urquidi said the five Andean countries attach importance to their friendly ties with China and the Andean Parliament will increase exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese NPC. The Andean Parliament, established in 1979, abides by the one-China principle, and supports the Anti-Secession Law passed by the Chinese NPC earlier this month and China's great cause of reunification, Urquidi said. | ||
