Earthquake jolts Sumatra, tsunami fear recedes
Local residents evacuated from Banda Aceh, Indonesia on March 29. (TV grab). Earthquake measuring 8.2 Richter scale struck at 23:09 March 28 (local time) some 90 kilometers southeast of the island of Sinabang, which lies off the southern coast of Indonesia's Sumatra island. Counties around the Indian Ocean have issued tsunami alert. But Indonisian official said no sign of tsunami was discovered so far.
