Overseas assets of state-owned companies reach 629.9b yuan

Overseas assets of state-owned companies has reached 629.9 billion yuan, said an official with the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) Tuesday.

The number of overseas companies controlled by the government is 693, with 210,000 employees and net assets of 287 billion yuan.

Huang Shuhe, vice minister of the commission, said along with China's continuous opening-up and "going global" strategy, more and more Chinese companies will do business overseas.
