2nd China-ASEAN Expo to be held in Nanning Oct. 19-22
font size

The Second China-ASEAN Expo will be held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, south China, from October 19 to 22, as learned from secretariat of the Expo.

In order not to clash with the Muslim festival of Fast-Breaking, which falls on November 3 this year, the Ministry of Commerce has decided to hold the Expo from October 19 to 22 since 2005 after consulting ASEAN countries.

The second phase project of Nanjing International Exhibition Center, the major venue of the Expo, will be completed by the end of this June. As a result, the number of exhibition halls will increase from the current 9 to 15. Their indoor display area will be extended to 50,000 square meters, able to house about 3,000 standard booths, and the outdoor exhibition area covers 26,000 square meters, big enough for 500-1,000 booths.
