10 new professions debut in China

Ministry of Labour and Social Security officially released a list of ten new professions on Mar. 31 in China including toy designer who works on toy design and manufacture, etc. This is the third time for China to issue new professions.

The ten new professions are: credit manager, website designer, real estate planner, professional information analyst, toy designer, gold investment analyst, enterprise cultural designer, household textile designer, micro hydro and electricity technician as well intellectual building manager.

Chen Yu, director of Employment and training technique centre under Ministry of Labour and Social Security, said that the ten new professions are mainly focus on modern service industry, management, planning and creativity, analysis and manufacturing, and have high requirement on the theoretical knowledge and professional ability of the employed, who are mostly the knowledge-and-skilled-oriented talents.

Chen further noted that sports broker, health consultant and other ten new professions are now being discussed. Meanwhile, Ministry of Labour and Social Security is organizing special research by experts over the profession of information technology.
