font size

The 3rd China International Food Fair is scheduled to be held June 25-27 in Xiamen, in east China's Fujian Province, according to a source with the municipal trade development bureau.

A total of more than 500 domestic and overseas food enterprises are expected to participate in the fair, said Dai Bizhong, director of the bureau, adding that the port city has successfully held two international food fairs.

The fair, co-sponsored by the China Food Industry Association and the Xianmen Municipal Trade Development Bureau, will have exhibition areas totaling 15,000 square meters, displaying drinks, canned foods, sweets and other foodstuff.

Some 400 enterprises from home and abroad have registered for the fair up to the press time. The food fairs have effectively stimulated the city's food exports which topped 600 million yuan (72.2 million US dollars) in 2004.
