Chinese leaders join millions in Tree-Planting Day activities

On Saturday morning, Chinese leaders planted trees in the Beijing Olympic Forest Park, joining hands with over two million people in the city to mark the 21st Voluntary Tree-Planting Day.

The leaders are Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin,Zeng Qinghong, Huang Ju, Wu Guanzheng, and Luo Gan. They worked together with a group of young students.

Over the past two decades, a total of 9.39 billion people have planted 44.88 billion trees across the country.
