Chinese Vice-Premier meets with Belgian cardinal

Chinese Vice-Premier Hui Liangyu met on Thursday with Cardinal Jodfried Danneels from Belgium, who was on a visit to China at the invitation of the State Administration of Religious Affairs.

During his stay in Beijing, Danneels, also the archbishop of Malines-Brussels of Belgium, visited the China Patriotic Catholic Association and the Bishops' Conference of Catholic Church in China.

He also met with Fu Tieshan, bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Beijing and held talks with leaders of various Chinese religions and the Chinese authorities in charge of religious affairs.
