Hundreds of farmers have occupied the airport in the Andean city of Andahuaylas in southern Peru for the second day, blocking the runway and disrupting air traffic.
The main roads in the province were also blocked as the farmers protested against low potato prices and the failure to build a road for transporting farm products.
One plane with anti-riot policemen aboard was prevented from landing on Friday night due to the protest.
The central government has refused to negotiate with the protesters while the occupation continues.
This is the second incident the city has suffered so far this year. On New Year's Day, a police station was attacked by the ultra-nationalist Ethnocacerista Movement, in Andahuaylas, nearly 1,000 km east of Peru's capital Lima. Five people were killed and 20 injured during the attack.
