On Forbes list of global top 2,000, Japan takes up 326 and China 88

The Forbes headquarters in the US published the newest list of global top 2,000 enterprises on Sunday, among which the Citibank Group stood out on top with its total assets of 1.4840 trillion US dollars and a profit of 17.05 billion US dollars.

As the list indicates, among the 2000 global big enterprises the US sees a total of 711 enterprises on the list and Japan takes up 326 while Britain has 140 enterprises included. Of the 88 enterprises on the list 25 are from the Chinese inland. The highest place China occupies is the 57th place for China Petroleum and Natural Gas Co. Ltd. with China Petroleum & Chemical Corp to take up the 94th place. This is the only two Chinese companies that stand among the world 100 strong enterprises. Of the 10 Chinese enterprises that are ranked relatively at the forefront of the list, oil companies take up the three of them which are respectively China Oil, China Petro-chemical and China ocean oil co. and three telecommunication co. which are respectively China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom.

Among the forerunning 500 strong enterprises, China Mobile takes up the 112th place, 150th place for Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. and the 167th place goes to China Telecom with Bank of China HK to take up the 415th place and China Unicom the 454th place and China ocean oil co. the 491st place. Besides, most of the enterprises from the Chinese inland and Hong Kong SAR have witnessed a little bit downturn as to their places on the list.
