font size

A senior Chinese navy officer said in Beijing Monday Chinese and Italian navies will develop their relations with the progress in the multi-layer and multi-level exchanges between the two armed forces.

"There have also been frequent high-level exchange of visits between the two armed forces and good cooperation in some technical fields," said Zhang Dingfa, commander of the Navy of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), when he met with Sergio Biraghi, chief of the Naval Staff of Italy.

Biraghi, who is here for a week-long visit, also met with Liang Guanglie, chief of the PLA General Staff, and said the Italian side hoped for more high-level exchange of visits and personnel exchanges with the Chinese navy.
